Application of 5086 Marine Grade Aluminum Plate on Hull

5086 marine grade aluminum plate is a typical aluminum-magnesium alloy aluminum plate. It is the main product of our company. We have advanced 1+1+4 hot rolling production line equipment and perfect hot rolling process. The 5086 marine grdae aluminum sheet produced is exported to many coastal countries. Excellent product quality has been well received.

The 5086 marine grade aluminum plate is used for the construction of the hull. The hull is composed of a series of plates and skeletons. The marine grade aluminum sheet and the skeletons are connected to each other and supported by each other. The skeleton is the support member of the shell, which not only improves the strength and rigidity of the shell, but also enhances the anti-stability of the marine grade aluminum plate.

The keel is a longitudinal member that connects the bow column and the stern column in the center of the base of the hull. It mainly bears the longitudinal bending moment of the hull.

The side keels are longitudinal members on either side of the keel. It withstands part of the longitudinal bending moment and increases the strength of the hull to withstand external forces.

The ribs are transverse members of the hull. It withstands lateral water pressure and maintains the hull geometry.

Dragon ribs are longitudinal members on both sides of the hull. It forms a mesh structure with the ribs to secure the ship's side panels and increase the structural strength of the hull.

The hull plate includes a ship side panel and a ship floor. The geometry of the hull is determined by the shape of the hull plate. The external forces such as longitudinal bending force, water pressure, and wave impact force that the hull bears first act on the hull plate.

Some hulls are also equipped with bilge keels, which are longitudinal members that are placed at the junction of the ship's side and the bottom of the ship. It can reduce the sway of the ship as it sails in the waves.

The bow column and the stern post are installed at the head end and the tail end of the hull, respectively. The lower part is connected to the keel. They can enhance the hull to withstand wave impact and water pressure, and can also withstand longitudinal collision and vibration during propeller operation.
